NEW ONLINE APPLICATIONS FOR A BUILDING CONSENT FORM COMING: On 1 August 2022 the Council will be making a change to the Online Services portal that will allow you to complete the application form for a building consent (or PIM) online. The entering of your application details directly into Online Services has benefits for you and the Council.

Should you need to stop midway through completing the application you may continue at a later time by selecting ‘Review drafts’ under ‘Applications’. Please note, you will not have to submit an application form with your application for a new building consent (or PIM) but an application for an amendment to a granted building consent will still require you to complete and submit an application form with the details of the amendment as this will be used to update an existing building consent.

Notice: We want to let you know that we’re receiving a high number of building consent applications. This is causing a backlog of applications, which means processing times are extending well beyond the statutory timeframe of 20 working days. We understand that people need certainty to move forward so please refer to our building consents page for a full update. Thank you for your patience while we work through this backlog. We are also receiving a very high volume of resource consent applications so there may be processing delays in this area too. Please contact us if you have any concerns.

If you are experiencing any issues with accessing your documents, please email onlineservices@ccc.govt.nz and quote your consent number. We can send documents via a sharelink or answer any other question you may have. We hope to get this resolved as soon as we can and apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.
